The Haiku Stairs — “Stairway to Heaven” on Oahu

The FaceBook post says, “The ‘Stairway to Heaven’ in Hawaii, officially known as the Haiku Stairs, is a trail that spans Ko'olau Mountain on the island of Oahu.

Built in 1942 by the US Navy. UU. to connect to a secret radio station during World War II, this structure boasts approximately 3,922 feet and offers breathtaking panoramic views.

Although currently closed to the public for safety and maintenance reasons, the staircase remains a legendary and controversial attraction.”
