Democrats need to lie to you in order to maintain power.
Democrats will never tell you what they actually believe in.
Instead, they will use focus group-approved buzzwords.
For example, they will say, “We need affordable housing in our cities.” Now, they can’t tell you that affordable housing really means that we’re going to destroy the suburbs by building low-income housing in quiet suburban neighborhoods. So they will say, “We need affordable housing.”
They will say, “We need congestion pricing to lower traffic.” What they really mean is, “We need to raise your tolls, your bridges, your e-zpasses, and whatever other fees that we need to apply to you to alleviate traffic.”
“We need to ban assault weapons.” Now, nobody knows what an assault weapon actually means. That’s a code word for them, is “We need to take away your Second Amendment rights to hold and bear arms."
“We need to fight voter suppression.” That’s a code word for, “We need fraudulent mail-in ballots so that we can never trace where these ballots come from, and we can cheat at the ballot box.”
“We need to have the rich pay their fair share.” That’s another code word for, “We need to tax anybody who’s wealthy in this country.”
All of these buzzwords are illusions and mirages that they use to propogate their liberal, socialist, communist policies, and they are all designed to make you poorer and make themselves richer. Democrats can’t tell you how their policies will help you, and they can’t tell you upfront how they’re going to hurt you. Therefore, they specialize in this deceptive wording and phraseology, all to trick the common voter into thinking they are your friends and they are there to help you, when in reality, they are not your friends, and their policies will hurt you, will hurt your family, will hurt the middle class in this country. And until people start seeing through those buzzwords, and recognizing them for who they are, problems will continue.
I say:
There is a disjunct in prejudices. Liberals tend to regard conservatives as stupid. Conservatives tend to regard liberals as evil. David Levy certainly seems to think Democrats are evil. As to whether or not they lie; whether anyone lies; absent any good evidence to contrary, my posture has always been to assume people believe what they say. That makes it far easier to have a conversation. The person’s beliefs may be mistaken, but I assume the person does actually believe what they say. I don’t know of anyone who proposes building low-income housing in the suburbs. I know nothing about congestion pricing. The term “assault weapon” is well-defined in law. This comes up every time a mass shooter uses an AR-15 — the undisputed weapon of choice for these criminals. Uninformed people mistakenly call the AR-15 an assault weapon, and gun rights advocates correct them. There is no evidence of any widespread election fraud using mail-in ballots. As it happens, fake ballots cannot be mass-produced. Every mail-in ballot must be counted as if it were cast in a specific precinct, and ballots printed for use in one precinct cannot be used in another. Baltimore City has 14 City Council districts, and a ballot printed for use in any one cannot be used in any other. It would list the wrong candidates. The same goes for Congressional districts. Mass mail ballot fraud is simply not feasible. What ANYONE’S “fair share” in taxes is, is debatable. But Levy’s exact words seem to imply that the rich should not be taxed. How will any of the alleged policies complained of, make Democrats richer at others’ expense? It is well to lay off accusations without evidence.
